How to Use Cold Iron Wrinkle Releaser September 11 2024
Don’t have time to iron? Maybe you just have a few wrinkles and are looking for a quick fix? What if there was faster alternative? Well there is. Cold Iron Wrinkle Release Spray. Cold Iron has been a fan favorite since 2012. We have a large following of regular customers and with over a decade long track record, you know we must be doing something right.
So how does Cold Iron work?
When applied to your clothes, garments, and other fabrics, Cold Iron absorbs into the material at the optimal level. The active ingredients lower the surface tension of the water, allowing the water to better penetrate and cover the threads. Think of it as steam in a bottle. Then, gravity does the rest. By hanging the fabric and allowing it to dry, the wrinkles naturally pull out and smooth right before your eyes.
Typically, if someone is having trouble getting the Cold Iron to work, it is because they are using it on a 100% synthetic fabric or they are not allowing enough time for the product to completely dry. Follow along with the upcoming advice and you will find that Cold Iron Wrinkle Release Spray is just what you have been looking for.
What types of fabrics does Cold Iron work on?
Not all fabrics are created equally. Even cotton has varied levels of quality and some cottons like recycled cotton, may be more difficult to work with. But with a little practice and some experimentation, you will quickly find that wrinkle releaser works on most of your fabrics and is much faster than ironing. Here are some general guidelines:
- T-shirts - yes
- Blouses - yes
- Chinos - yes
- Dress shirts - yes
- Polyester - sometimes
- Drapes - sometimes
- Forehead wrinkles - NO! (use Cold Iron only as intended)
Polyester is a tricky one. Wrinkle releaser does NOT work on 100% synthetic fibers like 100% polyester. These fibers are essentially plastic and will need to be heated in order to straighten. Often times curtains and table cloths are 100% polyester. We suggest following the manufacturers recommendation for these products which is often to iron at low temperature or tumble dry.
But wrinkle releaser DOES work on polyester blends. Something with less than 20% polyester should work fine, but results are not guaranteed. In fact, some of our favorite items to use wrinkle releaser on are dress shirts with a slight polyester blend. The wrinkles magically disappear!
So how do I use Cold Iron Winkle Release Spray?
Simply hang your clothes in an upright position so that the effect of gravity works the best. If you are working with a bulky item, you may lay it smoothly on a flat surface like a bed or table. Apply the spray 5-10 sprays per side with the 32-ounce bottle and 20 pumps per side if using the travel size. Do not over-wet. This is the most important advice. If you over-wet, the fabric may not dry completely before you put on the clothes, in which case you will cause more wrinkles.
Make sure to wait for 5 to 10 minutes or until the garment is completely dry.
In Conclusion
Save yourself time and hassle by using Cold Iron Wrinkle Releaser. Always make sure to check your fabric to make sure that it is not 100% polyester. Because remember, Cold Iron will not work on 100% polyester. Hang your fabric for best results and do not over wet. Hand smooth and tug the stubborn wrinkles and do not wear the fabric until it is completely dry. Try Cold Iron Wrinkle Releaser today and share your experience on social media!
